SESSION 1 (FALL) COACH REGISTRATION

COACHES NEEDED!

Most HotShots coaches are parents of a player. As with any youth sport, HotShots is dependent on parent volunteers. Coaches are usually in short supply, so HotShots encourages parents to step up, either in helping us secure a coach, or possibly coaching themselves. HotShots works to make the experience as fun and easy as possible! Coaches continue to say how much they have enjoyed it, and most return year after year.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR COACHES (SESSION ONE 2025)

October 8: Coaches’ Meeting

This is a mandatory meeting for all coaches
You will receive your rosters and sign important paperwork

Week of October 20: PRACTICES BEGIN

Check your contract dates carefully and remember the general rule: no school = no practice

November 1: GAMES BEGIN

Please be sure that players do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to the start of their game
Each team must provide a scorekeeper and scoresheet, as well as a Gym Monitor
Only water is allowed in the gym, post-game treats must be distributed and consumed outside
Once your game ends, please be sure to leave your bench area clean for the next team
Please help re-stack chairs before leaving, if your game is the final game of the day

December 19 & 20: LAST GAMES OF THE SESSION

SCORESHEETS: Coaches are responsible for supplying scoresheets and a scorekeeper (typically a team parent) at each game. CLICK HERE for a copy of the HotShots Scoresheet.

COACH PREFERENCE FORM: Coaches may request specific game days and shirt colors by filling out this form and returning it at the Coaches Meeting. HotShots strives to honor as many requests as possible, but please keep in mind that requests are not guaranteed. CLICK HERE for a copy of the Coach Preference Form.

COACH BACKGROUND CHECK FORM: All HotShots head coaches are screened through the Washington State Patrol Background Check. CLICK HERE for a copy of the WSP form & EOCF Declaration form that need to be submitted in order to run the check.

GYM MONITOR AGREEMENT: All coaches are responsible for assigning a team parent (or other responsible adult volunteer) to be a Gym Monitor during practices and games. CLICK HERE for a copy of the Gym Monitor agreement form.

CONCUSSION INFORMATION FORM: Coaches, please keep a copy of this form with you at all practices and games. Remember, “when in doubt, the player sits out”. CLICK HERE for a copy of the HotShots Concussion Information form.
